Gram's Chicken Tortilla Bake

Makes 8 servings...one of Sid's favorites.

Required Ingredients

chicken breasts, cooked (save broth)
12 corn tortillas
Cancream of chicken soup
Cancream of mushroom soup
Cupmilk
onion grated
Cangreen chile salsa (or 1 can chopped green chiles)
¾Poundsharp cheddar grated
Cansliced ripe olives (optional)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Cut cooked chicken in large pieces.
  2. Cut tortillas in one inch strips.
  3. Mix soups, milk, onion and chile salsa.
  4. Butter large shallow casserole. Add 3 tables spoons reserved broth. Place half of the tortillas on the bottom. Cover with half the chicken and half the sauce. Repeat layers ending with Sauce.
  5. Top with cheese and refrigerate 24 hours.
  6. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 deg.
